Vermont Concussion Collaborative
The Vermont Concussion Collaborative is a multi-disciplinary group of health care providers working together for our patients’ care, with a focus on recovery from concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mtbi).
The VTCC was formed out of necessity by a group of providers who were working together on complicated mtbi cases.
Concussion affects the person on many different levels, which requires a collaboration of treatment plans.
Our communication and approach of combined, interdependent systems results in more timely, thoughtful, and effective care for our patients.
We experience an increase in treatment planning efficiency, patient progress, and improved health outcomes because we are addressing the different systems affected by a concussion/mtbi. Our goal is to return the patient to their highest level of functional, occupational, recreational, and personal well being.
